How it works

Five minutes from you. The rest is on us.

We collect your decisions up front, so your Handler never has to come back with questions.

1You

Tell us what happened

Pick the issue type, name the company, add the order number and what went wrong. The form only asks what that issue needs.

2You

Add your proof

Photos, receipts, order confirmations and past emails. Whatever you already have.

3You

Set your terms and sign

Say what you want and the least you'd accept, and whether store credit or a partial refund is okay. Then sign a one-page authorization.

4Your Handler

We work the case

Email and chat first, then the phone, then up the escalation ladder until the company makes it right.

5Your Handler

You get the outcome

A written report with what we recovered, reference numbers, deadlines and anything you need to do. We also check that the refund actually posts.

What if the company says no?

Our escalation ladder

Most cases are won on the first or second step. When a company digs in, your Handler keeps climbing, politely and on the record.

  1. Front-line agent Email, chat or phone
  2. Supervisor "May I speak with a manager?"
  3. Executive customer relations The office that fixes things
  4. Public channels Company social, BBB
  5. Regulator complaint CFPB, state attorney general, FTC
  6. Next-step guidance Card chargeback or small claims
What we handle

The problems you keep meaning to deal with.

Damaged deliveries

Broken on arrival, missing parts, the box that clearly took a fall.

Wrong charges

Double billing, surprise fees, prices that didn't match the checkout page.

Refused refunds

"Outside the window," "final sale," or a return that was never credited.

Stubborn cancellations

Gyms, subscriptions and memberships that make leaving hard on purpose.

Warranty runarounds

Repairs that never happen and claims bounced between the store and the maker.

Travel and bookings

Cancelled flights, lost bags, hotel rooms that weren't what you paid for.

What we don't take on

Cases that need a licensed professional

We'll point you to the right kind of help for these:

  • Legal advice, court or arbitration: talk to an attorney or a small claims guide
  • Insurance claim negotiation: needs a licensed public adjuster
  • Debt relief or settlement
  • Credit report disputes
  • IRS and tax disputes: see an enrolled agent or CPA

If calling feels impossible

Phone anxiety, ADHD, or you just hate confrontation.

If your time is worth more

Busy parents and pros who'd rather not sit on hold.

If it's for someone you love

Older parents stuck in phone trees and confusing portals.

How we work

Polite, persistent, and on your side.

We always say who we are

"I'm calling on behalf of my client." Handlers never pretend to be you.

We never ask for passwords

We don't log into your accounts. Your signed authorization and the details companies use to verify you are enough.

We announce every recorded call

Calls are recorded for quality, and the company always hears that up front.

Your documents stay private

Only your Handler and a supervisor can see them, and they're deleted after your case closes.

About us

Speaking up for people across the country.

Why Handled exists

It started with a damaged picture frame. The refund was there the whole time, but only for whoever was willing to call and ask. Handled is for everyone who'd rather not.

Handled is a small company based in Philadelphia, a city that has never been shy about speaking its mind. We built it for the people who are: anyone who dreads the phone, can't spare an hour on hold, or is looking out for a parent stuck in a phone tree.

Every case is worked by a real person. Each one we close teaches us which policies to cite and who to ask for, so the next case goes faster.

Questions

Before you start a case

Will I have to talk to anyone?

Almost never. You fill out the form once and we take it from there. A few companies, usually banks, phone carriers and utilities, insist on hearing from the account holder. If that happens, we send you one quick step: a short three-way call or a one-tap approval. Never a questionnaire.

What do I need to start a case?

The company's name, an order or account number if you have one, what went wrong and when, and any proof you have, like photos, receipts or emails. You'll also tell us what outcome you want and sign a one-page authorization.

Will companies actually talk to you?

Most stores and brands will discuss an order with anyone who has the order number and proof. For stricter companies, we use written channels where we can attach your signed authorization.

What if they offer store credit instead?

You decide that before we start. The form asks the least you'd accept and whether credit or a partial refund is okay, so your Handler can say yes on the spot.

Is this legal advice?

No. Handlers are customer service experts, not lawyers, and we don't guarantee outcomes. If your case needs a lawyer, adjuster or tax professional, we'll tell you.

What if the refund never shows up?

Your Handler checks that it actually posted. If it didn't, we reopen the case at no charge.

Got a problem you've been putting off?

Hand it over. Five minutes now, and the next thing you hear from us is the outcome.
